Fundraising is underway to reconstruct the East Side Stands in Johnson Hagood Stadium

The generous support of our donors has secured over $4.2 million to reconstruct the East Side Stands since launching the fundraiser in October. This reconstruction will strengthen the pride of not only our Citadel community, but the greater Charleston area. With your help, we can reach our final goal of $5 million to make Johnson Hagood Stadium stand forever.  

After recently undergoing over $3.5 million in upgrades with the installation of Field Turf and a new state-of-the art Video Board and Sound System, the fundraising to reconstruct the East Side Stands in Johnson Hagood Stadium continues. This transformational project will ensure that our stadium will once again be the #1 stadium in the Southern Conference and the premiere sports venue on the Charleston Peninsula.

Key Project Points

  • A new, permanent 2,000 seat structure with restrooms, and storage.
  • This project is mission critical. Every dollar raised for athletics doubles in value as it generates more investment for college programs.
